In Spain, Brazilian tanneries participate in the Futurmoda fair

Spain's fashion design sector will soon be meeting up at the Futurmoda fair in Elche.

The event will take place October 16th/17th, bringing together designers, buyers, and directors of companies linked to the footwear, artifact, and clothing industries. Brazil will be represented by three tanneries presenting their leathers: Best Brasil, Emporio Yurgel, and Secctrade. Their participation is supported by the Brazilian Leather project, an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to promote Brazil's growth in international markets.

This is Brazilian Leather's third consecutive participation in Futurmoda. Letícia Luft, Brazilian Leather project manager, explains that Spain came into the focus of Brazil's leather industry a few years ago due to the Alicante region's connections with the fast fashion segment. However, pre-established relations between Spain and Brazil show that buyers have preferred Brazil's leathers because of attributes other than fashion trends, such as sustainability and quality.
 
7,000 visitors from 35 countries are expected at Futurmoda for a survey that exceeds 50,000 products. Some of these articles will also be at the CICB / Brazilian Leather institutional booth, which will be presenting the Leather Preview collection and its exceptional hides produced by various Brazilian tanneries.

Brazilian Leather
As a leather sector internationalization project, Brazilian Leather is conducted by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). There are numerous strategies for consolidating national leathers and hides in foreign markets - encouraging the participation of tanneries in the principle global trade fairs and business missions focused on closer relations between Brazilian suppliers and buyers from other countries are but two of them.
